The mission of the Chemung County Democratic Committee is to recruit candidates for all elective offices representing, but not limited to Chemung County. The committee works to strengthen the community by connecting citizens to the political process through voter outreach and education. We strive to be open, inclusive, and accessible to all individuals who share fundamental Democratic beliefs and values.

Since 1961 – GDP growth has been 44% higher under Democratic Presidents.
Business Investment Growth under Dems – 132% higher.
Unemployment – 5% higher under Republican Presidents.
Growth in Federal Spending – 221% faster under Republicans.
Balance of Trade – Internationally – 15% worse under Republicans.
Federal Budget Deficits – 9% higher – as a % of GDP under Republicans.
