The CCDC voted on Candidate endorsements during our July General meeting with all Committee members present discussing each candidate, and their ability to successfully win against their opponents. The candidates below received our full endorsement and committment to help them get elected.

Chemung County Youth Football League
Well, now it's an annual event. The morning at July 11th, 2 teams met on the political field of challenge. That day, the CCDC won the moral victory of working with their opponents from across the aisle. Unfortunately, the victory was not of the game. We had a ringer (see the kid kneeling in front of the Chair and Andy Fagan?) By far one of the fastest runners on our team! The book is closed on the 2nd Annual CCDC vs. CCRC tournament. We stand 0-2, but we raised funds that benefit the Chemung County Youth Football League, so it was all in good fun! Thanks to the candidates and 2nd District Councilman Cooke for coming out and playing. Willie Owens and his "Field of Fathers" have done it again!

DRC 2026 "Mobilize" the Midterms Conference
The Democratic Rural Conference represents 47 uptate counties in the state of New York. This year's DRC Conference got everybody fired up and ready for the 2026 Primaries and Midterms. There were elected officials from Albany, and candidates running for office from across the state in attendance. All of us, fighting together to win the Midterms!

CCDC in Syracuse
CCDC State Committee Representatives from the 124th and 132nd NYS Assembly Districts, along with the Chair, attended the NYS Democratic Convention in Syracus. There, they voted on the State-wide candidates the Party is backing during the Midterms this year.

CCDC Annual Fall Fundraiser
138 like minded people gathered to raise funds for local Democratic candidates. Lt. Governor Antonio Delgado & Dr. Basil Smikle, Jr. gave us words of inspiration. Each candidate introduced themselves, and spoke a little about their campaign platforms. Area Democrats won gift certificates from local businesses and bid on baskets. It was awesome!
Hands Off Our Social Security
On Monday 3-31-25 Voters of Chemung County demonstrated outside the Social Security Office in Big Flats. Originally slated to be closed, and then reportedly removed from the closure list, demonstrators demanded a definitive answer from Musk's Doge on the status, not only for recipients, but in support of the SS Office workers as well.

The CCDC "Love Your Neighbor" Clothing Drive
This Valentine's Day, the CCDC organized a "Love Your Neighbor" Clothing Drive. For a month we collected clothing, quilts, hats, gloves, shoes, toys, to help those who needed in our community. The drive ended with a hot chocolate (and pizza) movie screening and a lively discussion. Thank you Chemung County for your generous donations!
